Be prepared to buy a car today with the right documents in hand
By Product Expert | Posted in Sale on Monday, January 30th, 2017 at 12:29 pmWhat should I bring to the dealership to buy a car?
If you are planning on taking advantage of the February used car sale coming up this weekend, you will not only be in store for some great savings but also need to make sure you are in a position to move quickly. After all, there are only about 60 pre-owned vehicles eligible for the Houston Ford sales incentives. Make sure you have all of the documents needed to buy a car. Missing pieces of the information can slow down the process greatly and you have better things to do than hangout in our showroom all day. In the event, any questions pop up before you stop by on Saturday (Feb. 4), please give us a call.

Documents I need to buy a car
Driver’s License — The most important document you need to buy a car is a valid driver’s license. We can’t really sell a car to a person who can’t drive it. Also, if will want to take a few laps around sales lot for a test drive, we need to see that you are legal to get behind the wheel.
Car Title — Having your car’s title is a very close second for the most important documents to have when buying a car. We understand that sometimes things get lost. Most of the time we can get the needed copies from the department of motor vehicles, but if we can work with the originals – even better.
Proof of insurance — Make sure your insurance information is handy and up to date. This will really get things running smoothly. For the most part, if you already have car insurance it’s simply a matter of swapping out the vehicle information on the policy.
What should I bring with my trade-in?
If you are trading in your previous vehicle, make sure you bring all of the spare keys, keyfobs and manuals. This also includes as many pieces of information about any upgrades you’ve made to systems like the stereo or other electronics as possible.
Feel free to get in touch with a Houston Ford sales professional if you need more information about which documents you need to buy a car or any other questions you might have.
