Base 3.3L V6
The base choice of engine for the 2018 Ford F-150 is a 3.3-liter displacement V6. This engine on the 2018 F-150 will produce 290 hp at 6,500 rpm and 265 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm. This engine offers at least 8 hp more than the average on the 2017 Ford F1-150.
2.7L EcoBoost V6
The 2.7 liter EcoBoost engine option is able to produce a whopping 325 hp at just 5,000 rpm. What’s even more impressive is its range of torque from 25 lb-ft to a total of 400 lb-ft of torque at 2,750 rpm. The previous model year’s engine option in the F-150 did well in speed testing, and many people are waiting to get the 2018 out.
5.0L Coyote V8
Drivers from last year are happy about the retention of this 5.0-liter V8 engine. This powerful option can produce a maximum of 390 hp at 5,750 rpm. And total torque output is 400 lb-ft at 3,850 rpm. Both of these are increasing on last year’s similar option.
3.5L EcoBoost V6
The top-of-the-line engine option in the 2018 lineup will still be considered the 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost option. This engine stays at the same level it was. Last and this year’s engine offers 375 hp at 5,000 rpm and 470 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm.
