In this blog, we want to look at a few of the cool features that will come standard on this option, especially the selectable driving modes on the 2019 Ford Ranger.

What are the selectable driving modes on the 2019 Ford Ranger?

The Terrain Management System on the new midsize Ford Ranger offers selectable driving modes that deliver excellent traction and handling. They are similar to the functions available on the Ford Raptor off-roading full-size truck. Each mode alters transmission gearing, throttle response, and steering control to deliver the best possible handling. The four available driving modes on the 2019 Ford Ranger will be:

  • Normal
  • Grass, Gravel and Snow
  • Mud and Ruts
  • Sand

The Grass, Gravel and Snow mode in particular can prove valuable for drivers here in Minnesota who need to handle dirt roads and punishing winter weather conditions in their trucks.

Drivers will be able to control 4×4 functionality with a dial in the central console of the 2019 Ford Ranger.

Trail Control Slow-Speed Cruising

Another exciting new feature that will come with the Terrain Management System on the 2019 Ford Ranger is the Trail Control function. One of the challenges of serious off-road driving is maintaining an easy speed while also analyzing the terrain for the best way to tackle challenges.
