New Ford Fusion trim levels
The Ford Fusion is one of the most impressive midsize sedans on the market today. It has comfort, reliability, and style. It gets you places and looks good in the process. But Ford is never one to sit back and watch its vehicles ride off into the sunset. The innovators, engineers, and everyone else responsible for such high standards at Ford get right back to work to see how they can improve upon these already-stellar cars. Such is the case with the new Ford Fusion trim levels. Let’s take a look at what the 2017 model year has in store.

2017 Ford Fusion hybrids
Among the 2017 class of Ford Fusions are two hybrids: The Fusion Hybrid and the Fusion Energi. Each hybrid contains new software to provide a more engaging and intuitive ride for drivers. An Advanced EcoGuide system will give drivers real-time coaching and assistance as they drive to help them achieve better fuel economy. The Fusion Energi has a 7.6-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery which is expected to reach a range of 19 miles using electric power alone. The Fusion Energi can be recharged in just two and a half hours.
Hybrids aren’t the only highlight of the Fusion family for 2017. The Fusion V6 Sport has a turbocharged engine projected to reach 325 horsepower, and the Fusion Platinum offers up a little more sophistication with classy leather accents inside.
2017 Ford Fusion available technology
The Fusion is expected to be the most technologically advanced midsize sedan the legendary automaker has ever built in North America. It will be available with Ford’s pedestrian detection system and hands-free parallel and perpendicular parking capability for safety and convenience. Lane-Keeping Assist will also be available to alert drivers when they stray from lanes, and the available Blind Spot Information System with cross-traffic alert will include sensors to help drivers avoid accidents. Also available will be SYNC 3, Ford’s communication and entertainment system, which has been upgraded to perform faster and have more conversational voice recognition.
The new Ford Fusion lineup will arrive at dealerships this summer. Check back with the Houston Ford blog if any new information becomes available!
