I had this problem with out 1994 ford explorer. Did the alignment thing, tire balance, truing the rubber for roundness.
Found a problem with the hubs; which did not solve the problem. I did however find that the outer wheel bearings were not fully seating in the hub/rotor,
There is a fine line lip on the spindle that kept the bearing from seating, so this was taken down with emery cloth. Still didn’t solve the problem;but it helped a little.
I heard that there was a business that could balance the wheels while on the vehicle, they balance them out above 60mph to 120mph. Cost was 104.00 expensive, but we no longer have any shake or shimmy.
