What’s the difference between SYNC® and SYNC 3®?
The entertainment system on most new Ford models is either the brand’s SYNC® or SYNC3® system. SYNC® is the brand’s older system that features AppLink® smartphone integration, voice recognition, a standard 4.2-inch LCD screen and hands-free calling. The SYNC 3® is far more intuitive, featuring Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, in-car Wi-Fi that can connect with up to 10 devices and reach up to 50 feet from the vehicle, and navigation. The SYNC 3™ system also automatically updates when connected to Wi-Fi.
