9th Annual Great Pumpkin Festival
When: October 17, 2015 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm
Where: Gregory Park in Brainerd
Cost: Free!
This is a must-attend event if you’ve got young kids or just enjoy everything that comes with the Fall weather. Activities include a 3-legged races, sack races, pumpkin rolling races, pie throwing event, pie eating contest, and much more! Age divisions are split by seven and under, eight to 12, and 13 and older. There will also be horse rides (for a small fee), an on-site food vendor, as well as free hot chocolate, coffee and cider.

Corn Maze at St. Mathias Farm
When: October Weekends: Saturdays from 10:00am to 6:00pm, Sundays from 12:00pm to 5:00pm
Where: St. Mathias Farm in Brainerd
Cost: Adults: $9.00+tax, Ages 3-11: $6.00+tax, 2 and under: Free!
There’s much more than just a corn maze at St. Mathias Farm, though we can’t gloss over that 7-acre spectacle. There’s also slides, bridges, and scavenger hunts. Have smaller children? There’s a kiddie corn maze without dead ends, and also a reading nook. Cost also includes extras like a hayride, and getting to hangout with llamas and alpacas!

Trick or Treating and Parade at Westgate Mall
When: October 31, 2015 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Where: Westgate Mall
Cost: Free!
Want to enjoy some Halloween fun in the warmth and safety of the mall? Come by for games and trick or treating from 4:00 to 5:30pm. Then, starting at 5:30, the costume parade will begin, with prizes going out to the most creative ones!
